Countdown until Christmas already?

Today while blog surfing, I can across a banner that is counting down the days until Christmas, 142 days to be exact. I just can't bring myself to start counting down myself. Although, it did get me thinking. Do you make homemade gifts? And if you do, what are some things that you make? I would really like to get some new ideas!

Countdown to xmas! w00t! Last year I made xmas themed cupcakes for friends and some family. I am thinking this year it would be fun to make a Gift in a Jar instead. Cute, no?

I went to the library today looking for a book on this very subject! How about baked pumpkin cake in a jar? Thats sounds festive and can be made ahead of time.

I love Christmas, I have a running ticker on my MySpace page that never goes away ;-)

I have made biscotti, pizzelles, chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered nuts, peppermint bark, and I think this year I am going to do cocoa mix.

I'm thinking about doing homemade marshmallows dipped in chocolate and maybe topped with a wee bit of graham cracker crumbs to make a s'more of sort - then packaged cutely.

I've done a hot mocha mix in a jar, biscotti (two different kinds) and cookie mixes in a jar. Those have always been fun and well received.

I love Christmas but I'm just not ready to start thinking about it yet. I need to get my fall fix and enjoy the beautiful colors.

Hahaha For a minute I thought you were getting ready to complain about me! But I don't have a banner up...I've just been talking about Christmas :-)

I do make a lot of gifts. I've done bath things...gels, salts, scrubs, etc. Lots of food gifts...baked goods, mixes, candy, etc. I've done soaps....ornaments...scrapbook pages that I've framed...

This year I'm doing wreaths, garlands, cross-stitch ornaments, Hmm..plenty more but I can't think of it right now. But I love to work on Christmas stuff all year.
