Banana Bread
3 ripe bananas
1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup PB and chocolate chips, or chopped nuts (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mash up bananas and mix flour, baking powder, salt and sugar until combined. Mix in the melted butter. Fold in PB and chocolate chips or nuts, if using.
Pour into loaf pan and bake for 45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
I just used up 3 black bananas yesterday. Darn. But I think I have more in the freezer. This looks killer with the chocolate chips. And light too :)
ReplyDeletePeanut butter and bananas always remind me of Elvis. Maybe you should call it Elvis banana bread. Although I don't know if he ever put chocolate on those sandwiches. I'm sure it's a great combination.
ReplyDeleteEstupendo este pan, siempre he tenido curiosidad por probar el Pan de Platano. Un saludo
ReplyDeletePeanut Butter and Chocolate Chips! Holy Moly!! Now that is some good 'nanna bread.
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan of banana bread and this one looks very good. It is lighter in color than most of the ones I have made. I'll have to try this with some ripened bananas (always have over ripe ones in my house)!
ReplyDeleteI think your bread is very pretty. It looks quite moist.
ReplyDeleteBanana bread is just classic.
ReplyDeleteThat looks delicious! My store routinely sells bananas about to go bad, never knew what I would do with so many - make banana bread - always insulin worthy in my book! :D
ReplyDeleteLove the honesty! Will keep this in mind :)
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm stuck...to make banana bread or to not make banana bread. :)
